Android Phones vs. Windows phone

Many mobile phone users, who do not prefer Iphone or BlackBerry for whatever reason, get confused that which Mobile Operating System (OS) they should go for. For the most part, the advices summarizes to two choices: Android or Windows phones. Both Operating systems have their pros and cons and we cannot simply tell you that which operating system you should go for; it is completely dependent on your personal preferences. Nevertheless, in this article, we are going to highlight the good and bad things about both operating systems which will help you in making a good decision.

  2. The users of Android have full control over their phones. Then they can pretty much choose everything they want, even develop and load their own apps. Power to the people is the theme
  3. If money is problem, Android is solution. Android comes on the cheapest mobile phones available in the market.
  4. Android has many features and options that many users would rather not deal with. Hence, it makes it more complex for normal use.
  5. Many spam applications are available that make it very time consuming to sort out the best apps.
  6. Advertisement in application is sometimes very annoying.
  7. Windows phone has a very beautiful interface. At first glance, the user is impressed with the fast, smooth and organized pages that can be easily swiped.
  8. On Windows Phone you can download trials of paid apps in the Windows store before you buy, which is much appreciated. You can also uninstall many of the preinstalled apps on your phone
  9. If you’re not a heavy app user, Windows Phone is actually great because of how well-integrated some services are with the actual OS (Facebook for example).
  10. Windows phone platform does not have as many apps as Android
  11. Windows Phone disappoints when it comes to notifications.  Android have fantastic notification systems, letting you view all your recent notifications from a drawer at the top of your screen. Windows Phone doesn’t have this.
